Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our dynamic research and development team. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge radar technologies and signal processing algorithms as part of innovative R&D projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to advance the state-of-the-art in radar systems and sensing algorithms.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement advanced radar signal processing algorithms for next-generation radar systems;
Conduct research and development of novel signal processing techniques to enhance radar performance and capabilities;
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RF engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and program managers;
Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of radar systems and signal processing architectures;
Prototype and test radar signal processing solutions in laboratory and field environments;
Support proposal development and customer technical discussions for R&D programs;
Document research findings and present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Stay current with emerging technologies and research trends in radar signal processing.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field;
Strong background in radar principles, signal processing theory, and algorithm development;
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar technical computing environments;
Experience with research and development methodologies and practices;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments.
Desired Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field;
Experience with advanced radar signal processing techniques (synthetic aperture radar, adaptive processing, STAP, machine learning applications);
Knowledge of RF system design and electromagnetic modeling tools (HFSS, Feko, CST);
Experience with real-time signal processing and FPGA development;
Familiarity with AI/ML applications in radar and signal processing;
Experience with radar system testing and measurement;
Knowledge of defense acquisition processes and R&D program execution;
Active security clearance preferred;
Experience with technical publication and patent development.
Work Environment
This position involves working in a fast-paced R&D environment with opportunities for both independent research and collaborative team projects. The role may require occasional travel for customer meetings, conferences, and field testing activities.
