Job Summary •Develop embedded software in support of sonar and anti-submarine warfare systems within a cross-functional engineering team. •Design and implement models and algorithms in MATLAB and C/C to enhance sonar and auxiliary submarine systems. •Translate Systems Engineering and Signal Processing algorithm designs into optimized C/C code within defined processor and memory constraints. •Conduct integration activities and provide test support and problem resolution across multiple system variants. •Adapt across programming languages and toolsets as mission requirements evolve. •Collaborate independently on complex signal processing challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills throughout development cycles. Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education and experience, with 5 years of professional experience. •Proficiency in signal processing with demonstrated experience in undersea acoustics or related undersea domains. •Programming experience in C/C with the ability to optimize code for constrained embedded environments. •Familiarity with Linux operating systems and Agile development methodologies. •Active or interim Secret clearance (required for IRAD work; no clearance required for the international program track). •Experience in undersea acoustics or acoustic processing for sonar applications. •Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for algorithm development and modeling. •Minor or coursework concentration in Mathematics or Physics. •Background in research facilities, government programs, or defense contracting environments.
