Job Description
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be able to interpret/transliterate subject matter effectively.
  • Must have expressive and receptive skills, including finger spelling.
  • Registration as a Provisional Community Interpreter or Community Interpreter

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attends all classes and interprets lectures, class discussions, videos, and other class activities which involve the spoken word.
  • Interprets/transliterates all information conveying the context of the speaker using language most readily understood by the student.
  • Interprets spoken English to American Sign Language and American Sign Language to spoken English.
