Overview
Build the Future of Florida Infrastructure with Quiddity Engineering
As Quiddity Engineering continues its expansion across Florida, we are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Practice Leader / Senior Project Manager to help shape and grow our presence in the Tampa region.
This is not a plug-and-play management role. It is an opportunity for a leader who wants to build something meaningful-grow a practice, develop a team, cultivate client relationships, and have a direct impact on the future of our Florida operations.
You'll have the autonomy to lead, the support of a nationally recognized engineering firm, and the opportunity to influence how infrastructure projects are delivered throughout the region.
Responsibilities
The Impact You'll Make
Lead and Grow a Practice
  • Develop and execute a vision for expanding Quiddity's presence in the Tampa market.
  • Help shape the strategic direction of our transportation, municipal infrastructure, and land development services.
  • Play a key role in the continued growth of our Florida operations.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and new opportunities.
Deliver Meaningful Projects
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including:
    • Transportation planning and traffic engineering
    • Roadway and ITS projects
    • Municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and public works infrastructure
    • Residential, mixed-use, and commercial land development projects
  • Collaborate with municipal agencies, FDOT, utility districts, developers, and private-sector clients.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, permitting, construction, and project closeout.
Develop People and Teams
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of Professional Engineers, EITs, CAD designers, and technical staff.
  • Create a culture focused on collaboration, accountability, professional development, and excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities for team members.
Drive Business Development
  • Actively pursue new client relationships and project opportunities.
  • Lead proposal development, presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategies.
  • Expand existing client relationships while identifying new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.
Own Performance
  • Oversee project execution, quality, schedules, budgets, and profitability.
  • Manage project financial performance, staffing plans, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects while maintaining Quiddity's high standards for quality and client service.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Proven success managing and delivering transportation, municipal infrastructure, and/or land development projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience building, mentoring, and managing engineering teams.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Experience working with municipalities, DOT agencies, utility districts, developers, and private-sector clients.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing teams, clients, and services.
Why Quiddity?
At Quiddity, you'll find more than a project management role-you'll find an opportunity to lead, influence, and build. As part of our growing Florida team, you'll enjoy the visibility, autonomy, and support needed to make a lasting impact on both our organization and the communities we serve.
If you're ready to move beyond managing projects and want to build a practice, grow a team, and help shape the future of infrastructure throughout the Tampa region, we'd love to talk with you.
