Job Summary
The Project Manager (Commercial Drywall) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and budgeting to scheduling and completion. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing commercial drywall projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring project success within budget and time constraints. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management
    • Develops accurate project budgets by leveraging historical data and cost analyses from previous projects.
    • Conducts regular site visits to active and pending projects to ensure proper field methods, quality standards, and full understanding of project progress.
    • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of local material, labor, and equipment costs to support accurate estimating and cost control.
    • Oversees and tracks all project labor, including subcontracted and in-house resources, to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
    • Ensures timely delivery of required project documentation and verification of completed work.
    • Manages, mentors, and develops team members to support professional growth and organizational success.
    • Represents the company professionally in all aspects of field operations and site activities.
    • Builds and maintains strong client relationships at the project level to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience with a strong background in estimating (at least 2 years as an assistant estimator)
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in marketing, sales, or client relationship development
  • Background in commercial drywall subcontracting or general contracting strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding goals with minimal supervision
  • Highly self-motivated with strong initiative and accountability
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of personal and professional excellence
  • Willingness to work from the office or at job sites as needed
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
