Job description

Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager duties:


Commercial Project Management, in office position in the College Park/Hyattsville area.

Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm/5pm


  • Post completed quotes on the shared drive folder/Filemaker.
  • Keep a communication log on when follow ups were made regarding shop
  • Respond to quote requests, completely and accurately, within 1-2 working

days of request (whenever possible).

  • Create a Time-Line using Excel spreadsheet.
  • Provide shop drawings within time frame promised.
  • Advise of any delays or cost increases as soon as they occur.
  • Physically inspect the job weekly, at current station(s) for accuracy.
  • After receipt of purchase order, follow the procedure below;
  • Once released for Fab, follow up with Scheduler on a twice-weekly basis,

fill in all required fields and hand out at the weekly production meeting.

  • Manage all project documentation
  • Prepare project schedule and manage deadlines
  • Assist with estimation and bidding process
  • Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders
