General Summary:
Working under the mentorship of a Project Manager the Project Coordinator is responsible for the identified aspects of the project life cycle including assisting with the coordination of activities including project documentation and maintenance through final invoicing and post-construction activities.
Project Support
Process timely contract-related transactions including Change Orders and Proposed Change Orders to suppliers, subcontractors, and owners. Assist in the preparation of accurate, timely Subcontracts and Purchase Orders to subs/suppliers, ensure signed copies are issued, data entered into the software, as needed, and filed appropriately. Responsible to ensure project files are maintained current. In addition, provide copies of applicable correspondence as needed. Process timely, accurate Submittals, Requests for Information (RFI), and Transmittals. Obtain and file Certificates of Insurance, as the project requires. Maintain current, accurate, document logs. Assist with preparation of closeout documentation including as-builts, O & M's and warranties. Oversee and ensure the completion of the review, approval, and distribution process.
Education and Experience:
  • Previous project coordination experience required
  • Construction industry experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Elementary knowledge of job costing/budgeting
  • Good mathematical skills
  • "Common sense" construction practice knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements/Travel:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently sits, regularly stands, regularly walks on uneven surfaces, may ascend and descend stairs and/or ladders at project sites, occasionally lifts up to 35 pounds, occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches and/or crawls, frequent use of computer, monitor and keyboard.
