Job description

About the Position

We are an established sign and graphics company seeking an experienced vehicle wrap installer to lead our vehicle wrap installations. This is not an entry-level wrap position. We are specifically looking for someone with professional vehicle wrapping experience who is capable of independently completing high-quality commercial and/or color-change vehicle wraps. We are flexible in how this position is structured for the right person. The position may be a part-time employee or independent contractor focused primarily on vehicle wraps.

For someone interested in a full-time position, we can expand the role to include sign and graphics installation, production work, and/or graphic design depending on the candidate's experience and interests.

Primary Responsibilities

● Lead vehicle wrap installations from preparation through final inspection

● Install full and partial commercial vehicle wraps

● Install color-change vinyl where applicable

● Properly clean and prepare vehicles before installation

● Evaluate vehicles and identify potential installation issues before beginning work

● Properly handle complex curves, recesses, bumpers, rivets, seams, edges and other difficult areas

● Perform appropriate disassembly and reassembly of basic vehicle components when necessary for a professional installation

● Use heat, post-heating and manufacturer-recommended installation techniques

● Trim vinyl safely without damaging vehicle paint or components

● Identify problems with printed panels, laminate, material, measurements or vehicle condition before they become installation failures

● Maintain a clean and organized wrap/install area

● Help establish efficient, repeatable wrap installation procedures

● Work independently while also communicating effectively with our production and design teams Required Qualifications

● Professional vehicle wrap installation experience

● Ability to independently complete a vehicle wrap to professional standards

● Strong knowledge of vehicle preparation, vinyl handling, stretching, heating, post-heating, trimming and finishing techniques

● Experience working with professional cast wrap films such as Avery Dennison, 3M, ORAFOL, Arlon or comparable products

● Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work

● Ability to identify and correct installation problems such as lifting, overstretching, wrinkles, bubbles and improperly finished edges

● Valid driver's license

● Reliable and professional

● Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Applicants should be prepared to provide photos or a portfolio of vehicle wraps they personally installed.


Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer or industry wrap certification is highly valued, including:

● Avery Dennison Certified Wrap Installer (CWI)

● 3M Preferred Installer – Fleet Graphics and/or Vehicle Color Change

● ORAFOL Certified Vehicle Wrap Installer

● UASG / 3M installation credentials

● Other recognized professional wrap training or certification


Additional experience in any of the following is a plus

●Fleet and commercial graphics

● Vehicle color-change wraps

● Paint protection film (PPF)

● Automotive window tint

● Wall and window graphics

● Sign installation

● Exterior sign installation

● General sign-shop production
