About the Role:

The Painter role is essential in delivering high-quality finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability. With minimal supervision, performs skilled painting and general maintenance duties, including painting, staining, varnishing, refinishing, and minor repairs throughout the hospital and associated properties. Supports a team environment by assisting other trades as needed and ensures work is completed in compliance with mandated safety and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of work-related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare or commercial maintenance settings.
  • Experience in preparing cost and time estimates.
  • Previous experience in industrial or commercial painting projects.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to painting.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs painting services throughout the hospital and associated properties in compliance with mandated standards.
  • Prepares surfaces and applies paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes.
  • Adheres to chemical application standards to minimize fumes in patient and client areas.
  • Repairs doors and replaces window glass and hardware.
  • Cuts stencils for lettering and sign painting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and properly handling materials and equipment.
