About Us: FASTSIGNS of East Brunswick is a visual communications company that designs, produces and installs many types of signage products including, vinyl graphics, architectural, ADA, Illuminated, and wayfinding signs. We use innovative thinking and state-of-the-art technology to create and design graphic solutions for businesses large and small.
Responsibilities
Installation: Install a variety of signage, including vinyl graphics, architectural signage, banners, displays, and illuminated signs ensuring proper alignment, placement, and stability
Production: Assist full time production staff with sign production operations.
  • Operate large format printer, plotter, laminator, industrial sewing machine, wall cutter/panel saw
  • Preparing substrates for vinyl application
  • Weeding, transfer-taping, and accurately trimming vinyl
  • Mounting prints to substrates
  • Lifting and cutting large 8-10ft substrates (including acrylic, wood, PVC, coroplast, foamcore, aluminum composites and polystyrene)
  • Proofreading signs and conduct quality assurance on all finished goods
  • Regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and production area
Site Assessment: Conduct on-site assessments to determine the most effective and safe installation methods, taking accurate measurements and photos. Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand specific installation requirements.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for signage installation, such as drills, saws, and lifting machinery, and aerial equipment. Safely transport signage materials and equipment to and from job sites using a company van. In some instances rental of equipment may be required.
Quality Assurance: Inspect finished installations to ensure they meet quality and safety standards and client specifications. Address any issues or defects promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow industry safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed installations, including photos, measurements, and any relevant notes. Submit comprehensive installation reports to project managers and maintain organized project documentation.
Qualifications
Driving:
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Must submit to a background check.

Experience: Proven experience in signage installation is preferred but not required. Knowledge of various building materials and installation techniques such as appropriate use of fastener types and spacing. Familiarity with electrical components and wiring for illuminated signage is a plus. Experience installing vinyl graphics is also a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand and power tools required for signage installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions.
Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects and working at heights when necessary. Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, on ladders, and in various weather conditions.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, project managers, and clients professionally.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during installations.
Education:High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or vocational training in signage installation is a plus.
