Travel Installer I
Overland Park, KS Full-Time Extensive Travel

We're looking for a Travel Installer I who enjoys working with their hands, traveling, and being part of a team that brings ambitious projects to life. If you're someone who takes pride in quality work, likes solving problems, and wants to grow your installation career, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As a Travel Installer I, you'll work alongside experienced installers to safely and efficiently install custom architectural elements, signage, graphics, and specialty components at client sites across the country.
Responsibilities include:
  • Travel to project sites throughout the U.S. (typically 20+ days per month)
  • Install architectural elements, signage, graphics, and specialty components
  • Read and follow shop drawings and installation plans
  • Work alongside installation crews, Project Managers, and other trades
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Help load, transport, and install materials and equipment
  • Maintain a safe, organized job site
  • Communicate with your team while traveling and help solve challenges in the field
  • Deliver the level of quality and craftsmanship DI is known for

When you're not traveling, you'll work from our Overland Park shop helping prepare for upcoming projects and supporting the production team.
What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years of installation experience in signage, construction, or a related trade
  • Basic ability to read blueprints or shop drawings
  • Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with vinyl and graphics installation is a plus
  • OSHA and DOT certifications are preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain an MEC for DOT
  • Must own basic hand tools and be comfortable using power tools
  • Willingness to travel extensively, often with short notice
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
