Job description

Job Title: DPAE CVN Graphic Designer Job Category: Communications Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: Conceive, design, lay out, and coordinate editorial illustrations and creative artwork. Develop interpretive themes that convey ideas and information. Create graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.

Provide guidance on graphic technology. Work closely with internal contacts to understand requirements and create cost efficient graphic designs through available mediums. Provide computer graphic services for web artwork.

Provide input on reproduction and printing processes through in-house resources or outside vendors. Responsibilities: Provide DPAE CVN wide support in the areas of graphics and presentation production. Provide design, revision, and production support for DPAE CVN briefs and presentations as required.

Provide configuration management of all DPAE CVN photography and graphic deliverables. Provide on-site, real time digital photography support for various events or meetings, with associated image editing and production work. Provide design and production for award certificates for ceremonies; posters and posterboards, banners, pamphlets, signage, or displays for various events as requested.

Provide multimedia and motion graphics/animation design and production support for briefings, presentations, video projects and stand-alone applications. Regularly update Visual Management Boards Qualifications: Required: BA in multimedia/graphic design or equivalent field of study. 5+ yrs related graphic design experience.

3+ yrs related photography experience Possesses an active Secret clearance or is Secret eligible. Proficient in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.). Proficient in Adobe Suites Production printing experience

Active Secret Clearance Desired: Active-duty experience a plus; Navy preferred. Editorial skills. MA in multimedia/graphic design or equivalent field of study.
