Job description

Title: CNC Operator
Location: Sherman, TX
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift: Sun-Thur, 6pm-6am OR Fri-Sun, 4am-4:30pm
Hourly Rate: up to $25.00 depending on experience plus shift differential

Summary: Support manufacturing operations by creating, editing, and troubleshooting CNC programs while operating a variety of CNC equipment. This role is responsible for producing quality parts, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient production.

Job Duties:

  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs to support production requirements
  • Set up and operate CNC equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, routers, and other machining equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and submit repair requests when needed
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate issues to supervisors or team leads
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or process issues
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean while following all safety procedures
  • Support other departments and production activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and overhead cranes
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
