Position Overview

Sierra Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Bradenton, Florida. This role is primarily focused on providing exceptional care for patients with orthopedic conditions in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be instrumental in helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life through holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Sierra Orthopedic Clinic is a leading outpatient private physical therapy practice renowned for its commitment to patient-centered care and rehabilitation excellence. Our facility features a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine clinic equipped with cutting-edge tools and technology to facilitate optimal patient care. We value collaboration and encourage innovation within our multidisciplinary team, which comprises skilled physical therapists and certified physical therapy assistants (PTAs). Our practice primarily serves patients with private health insurance, enabling us to provide a high standard of care tailored to each individual's needs.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our vibrant rehabilitation center, which is designed to foster a motivating and encouraging atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment, with flexible access to a variety of therapeutic resources and equipment necessary for effective treatment protocols. Our work schedule consists of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations to comprehensively identify patients' specific objectives and treatment needs.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and individualized therapeutic attention.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment plans that prioritize functional improvement and recovery from orthopedic injuries.
  • Employ various therapeutic modalities and techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education, to enhance range of motion and mobility.
  • Develop customized fitness and wellness programs based on individual assessments and goals.
  • Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, nurturing a commitment to overall health and wellness.
  • Evaluate patient progress, document all care provided, and adjust treatment plans according to ongoing assessments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, including consultations when necessary.
  • Educate patients on preventive measures to reduce pain and prevent future injuries.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will particularly benefit a diverse patient population experiencing various orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. Our clinic prides itself on fostering a welcoming, understanding environment where patients feel comfortable and empowered during their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
  • A solid understanding and demonstrated competence in manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in creating and executing tailored exercise protocols based on individual patient assessments.
  • Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software to efficiently manage patient records and documentation.
  • Maintain an unblemished professional record with no prior disciplinary actions against your license.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in implementing diverse rehabilitation strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Active involvement in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
