Site Manager – Lead Architectural Panel, Siding & Roofing Field Operations for DG Crays Construction, LLC


Job Overview:

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (Salary) plus Annual Bonus
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN (50% travel required beyond 30 miles)

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a vital field operational leader, driving the on-site management and execution of specialized exterior building envelope projects. This role allows you to go beyond standard management by directly making key decisions, leading subcontractor crews, and shaping the future growth of our business. You will join a high-accountability team where company leadership is directly accessible and your contributions make a visible impact every single day.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Plan and manage up to 10 active site installations simultaneously, balancing schedule, budget, and quality standard requirements.
  • Review detailed project scopes, drawings, and specs alongside Project Managers to define site visit cadences and material needs.
  • Establish comprehensive subcontractor plans, directing worker headcount, installation sequencing, safety, and equipment logistics.
  • Coordinate daily site expectations with General Contractor Superintendents to build strong client relationships and maintain output.
  • Complete daily field logs for every site visit to ensure project transparency, accurate progress tracking, and site safety.
  • Maintain gross profit margins within +5%/-1% of project targets and manage material surplus to strictly under 5%.
  • Minimize contractor punch list items and eliminate rework through rigorous, continuous on-site quality control inspections.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven operational leadership experience managing field crews and specialized construction site activities.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from architectural panel, siding, and roofing shop drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a track record of effective decision-making under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% for field management assignments beyond 30 miles.
  • Clean driving record


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of related work experience in architectural metal panels, commercial siding, or specialized roofing systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating directly with General Contractor Superintendents and subcontractor crews on active job sites.
  • Bilingual a plus
