Commis Chef - Station Chef - Prep Cook
Description: Ready to sharpen your culinary chops in the heart of Utah's ski country? Goldminer's Daughter Lodge in Alta is hiring a Commis Chef for the 2026-2027 winter season (mid-Nov through mid-April).
This full-time role averages 40 hours/week and pays $17/hour + tips, with ski-in, ski-out access at the base of the legendary Alta Ski Area.
As a Commis Chef in our Main Kitchen, you'll be part of a hardworking culinary team prepping and plating high-quality meals for hungry adventurers. You'll set up your station, follow food safety standards, and work side by side with seasoned chefs-all while living and working in a mountain lodge community.
In your first 90 days, you'll learn:
  • Advanced prep techniques
  • Food safety & sanitation protocols
  • Kitchen flow and communication with leadership

Requirements:
  • Culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
