Job description

Opportunity to join the North America Corporate and Private Side commodities team and focus on power sales coverage. 

As an individual in North America Corporate and Private Side commodities sales, you will carry out the daily functions in executing and originating transactions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Commodity Sales touchpoint for clients including "first call" in the power sector
  • Formulate and drive the marketing and growth strategy to strengthen and expand the firm's presence within the power sector
  • Provide best-in-class commodities coverage to clients in the power space

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

  • Experience and deep product knowledge in power derivatives 
  • Deep Analytical skills and proven track record of ability to execute transactions with skill and urgency 
  • Fluent in the required legal documentation, modeling, and negotiation process associated with all aspects of the transactions 
  • Established senior relationships with the power community including the key players/stakeholders that are active within the space
  • Knowledge of the North American physical and financial power markets
  • Strong team player that works well under pressure and to tight deadlines - partners well with colleagues and works with a diverse group of stakeholders through the various stages of the process to bring deals to execution
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate the complex concepts of the deal into simple terms and actionable steps
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation skills
  • Good PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
  • Excellent time management skills
