Position Overview

Cleveland Clinic Florida is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Medicine to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) team. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-acuity critical care within a collaborative academic environment.

The physician will provide care for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, residents, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive critical care management for SICU patients
  • Provide perioperative and post-operative critical care support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers (if applicable)
  • Participate in call coverage as assigned

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
  • Eligible for or licensed to practice in the state of Florida
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
  • Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or clinical research preferred
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates withexperience in perioperative management forsolid organ transplantationorneurocritical care
