Job description

Position Summary

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for Club members, guests, and employees. This position primarily operates Club passenger vans carrying up to 14 passengers and supports daily transportation needs, including employee shuttles, airport transportation, and other assigned routes.

The Shuttle Driver must be dependable, punctual, safety-focused, and comfortable spending extended periods of time driving. This position requires flexibility to work long and varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on transportation needs.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely transport members, guests, and employees to and from designated locations
  • Operate Club passenger vans carrying up to 14 passengers
  • Provide scheduled and on-demand shuttle transportation throughout the day
  • Transport H-2B and other seasonal employees between housing, the Club, airports, and other assigned destinations
  • Provide airport pickup and drop-off transportation as scheduled
  • Maintain punctual pickup and drop-off times and follow assigned transportation schedules
  • Be available to work extended shifts and long driving hours based on operational and transportation needs
  • Remain flexible with changing routes, schedules, pickup times, and transportation requests
  • Assist passengers with luggage, bags, mobility assistance devices, and personal belongings as needed
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, courteous, and professional environment for all passengers
  • Keep Club vans clean, organized, fueled, sanitized, and ready for daily operation
  • Complete routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Promptly report vehicle maintenance concerns, damage, accidents, or safety issues
  • Monitor traffic, weather, airport activity, and road conditions to determine safe and efficient routes
  • Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, schedules, and incident reports as required
  • Follow all traffic laws, Club safety procedures, and transportation policies
  • Communicate delays, schedule changes, vehicle concerns, or transportation issues promptly
  • Coordinate with Human Resources, Security, Valet, Concierge, and Club management regarding transportation needs
  • Provide professional and courteous service while representing the Club
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when transporting members, guests, and employees
  • Perform additional transportation-related duties and other responsibilities as assigned
Schedule & Availability Requirements
  • Ability to work long and extended shifts, including periods of continuous driving
  • Must have flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to accommodate changing transportation schedules and operational needs
  • Must be reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts and transportation assignments
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • CDL is not required
  • Ability to safely operate passenger vans carrying up to 14 passengers
  • Previous shuttle, transportation, delivery, or professional driving experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
  • Ability to use GPS/navigation systems and adjust routes based on traffic conditions

Knowledge& Skill Requirements:

  • An active CDL and Florida Driver's License are required, or the ability to obtain them prior to employment
  • A minimum of three years of driving experience/record
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Previous driving, shuttle, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of local roads, airports, and navigation systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to lift and transport luggage or packages when necessary
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in hospitality, country club, or luxury service environments
  • Defensive driving certification
  • Experience managing transportation schedules or employee shuttles
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus
