Job description

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Spotter/Shuttle CDL Driver to support yard operations and short-haul shuttle routes. In this role, you will move trailers within our facility, position equipment at dock doors, and transport drivers or cargo between nearby locations — keeping our operation running smoothly around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Spot and move trailers to and from dock doors, staging areas, and drop lots using a yard truck (hostler/spotter truck).
  • Perform short-distance shuttle runs between facilities, drop yards, or intermodal locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA regulations and document findings accurately.
  • Communicate trailer locations and yard status to dispatch and dock supervisors in real time.
  • Ensure trailers are properly sealed, secured, and tagged before movement.
  • Maintain accurate yard management system (YMS) logs and paper records as required.
  • Assist with driver check-in/check-out and coordinate with dock staff during peak activity.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific traffic procedures.

Requirements:
  • Class  A CDL.
  • 2 Years of driving experience.
