About the Role
J Edward Staffing is seeking a professional and reliable Shuttle Driver to safely transport passengers to various destinations while following company policies and traffic regulations. This role involves operating shuttle buses and passenger coach-type vehicles along scheduled routes provided by management or dispatch.
As a Shuttle Driver, you will report to the Supervisor of Transportation or a designated individual in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to all passengers.
  • Follow established routes and departure times; communicate with dispatch regarding detours.
  • Operate vehicles according to Safety Policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain accurate logs of passengers, trips, mileage, and vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure passenger limits are adhered to (seated and standing).
  • Assist passengers with disabilities using wheelchair lifts.
  • Report emergencies, vehicle concerns, or passenger issues immediately to Supervisor/Dispatcher.
  • Perform other duties as assigned while complying with organizational policies.
Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience may substitute for formal education
Licenses/Certifications:
  • CDL with Passenger endorsement and airbrakes - required
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical card - required
  • MGH Security RMV Check / Driving Report - required
Experience:
  • 1-2 years as a shuttle or bus driver
Skills & Abilities:
  • Safe driving in varying road and weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
  • Excellent customer service
  • Multilingual skills a plus
