Job Description: EMPLOYEE SHUTTLE DRIVER (HJAIA)

Job Scope:
Your primary duties will be to transport airport employees to and from airport parking facilities safely.
We expect our drivers to be friendly, helpful, and professional always, assisting customers with their luggage and answering any questions they may have. You must have a valid CDL driver's license, a clean driving record, and the willingness to work nights and weekends. Prior shuttle bus driving experience is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Greet employees and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Drive a 14(+) passenger bus to and from management designated locations.
  • Drive shuttle bus defensively, with caution, and obeying all traffic laws.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license with 3 or less points
  • Complete daily vehicle pre/post trip inspections, notating any damages or defects, and recording fuel level and mileage daily.
  • Detect warning indicators on the bus and communicate need to the maintenance department.
  • Provide professional communications via the radio with dispatchers and follow the instruction provided by the dispatcher for staging or pick-up while communicating to dispatcher the status of ground transportation, and or the need for a bus.
  • Learn and follow several prescribed routes around the airport.
  • Complete the incident form when accident or incident occur.
  • Responsible for checking the driver schedule and seeing which bus they have been assigned.
  • Responsible for pre-trip inspection using the Zonar Device if unit is equipped or utilizing the Pre/Post
  • Trip manual sheet for those units not equipped with Zonar
  • Enter the passenger totals onboard bus into the Zonar handheld device.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
License Requirement: Per DOT Regulations, you will be required to have and maintain a valid CDL Driver's License, with Passenger Endorsement if you will be responsible for operating shuttle buses with a passenger capacity of 15 passengers or more.
DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be a requirement.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on- one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older
