Shuttle Driver - Full Time

On Kiawah Island, located just 21 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina, day breaks across a pristine 10-mile beach, expansive marsh savannahs, ribboning rivers, and some of the most-acclaimed amenities available on the Eastern Seaboard. The Kiawah Island Club delivers a diverse collection of private amenities in distinctive venues. Amid uncommon scenic beauty, Members can savor the Island's best offerings and create lifelong memories with family and friends.

We are seeking a part time Shuttle Driver. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for safely transporting fellow employees to and from home or an employee parking area, to their designated work place by following a strict schedule. Drivers must be able to safely drive and operate a 14-passenger vehicle which includes adhering to any and all laws of the road. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes regular evening/night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Drivers are also responsible for maintaining the visual appearance and cleanliness of the vehicle. Qualified candidates will be at least 25 years of age or older with acceptable driving records. A clean-cut image, great attitude, and willingness to pitch in wherever needed are required. As this position is responsible for safely driving employees to their respective work areas in a timely fashion, punctuality, and the ability to adhere to a strict schedule are essential.

Responsibilities

- Follow any and all laws of the road and practice safe driving habits

- Transport employees in a comfortable, safe, and efficient manner

- Follow a strict schedule of departure times

- Maintain the vehicle's (interior and exterior) visual appearance and cleanliness

- Organize essential documentation and schedules

- Complete regular maintenance checks and notify manager of any issues

- Occasionally assist related departments (ex. Purchasing & Receiving)

Qualifications

- 25 years of age

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Ability to drive in the dark and inclement weather such as heavy rain

- Work well independently and responsibly

- Positive attitude and professional demeanor

- Familiar and comfortable with email as the main source of communication

- Familiar with the Charleston area and roadways

- Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds)

- Previous professional driving experience is preferred
