How much do shuttle driver driver jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 22, 2026, the average hourly pay for shuttle driver driver in Reno, NV is $18.06, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $14.38 and $20.14 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A shuttle driver can potentially earn around $10,000 a month with experience, tips, and working long hours or in high-demand areas. However, such earnings are uncommon and typically require a commercial driver's license (CDL), good driving record, and sometimes additional certifications or endorsements. Most shuttle driver roles offer lower base pay, with higher earnings often dependent on overtime and tips.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Shuttle drivers typically do not earn $2000 a day; their pay is usually hourly or salary-based. High-paying jobs that can reach this level include specialized roles such as certain medical professionals, corporate executives, or skilled trades with overtime and bonuses. Achieving such earnings often requires significant experience, certifications, or working in high-demand industries.

Do I need a CDL to drive a shuttle?

Shuttle drivers typically do not need a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if they operate vehicles under a certain weight limit, usually 26,000 pounds or less. However, if the shuttle exceeds this weight or if the employer requires it, a CDL may be necessary. It's important to check local regulations and employer requirements for specific licensing needs.

How much do shuttle drivers make at car dealerships?

Shuttle drivers at car dealerships typically earn between $12 and $20 per hour, with annual salaries ranging from approximately $25,000 to $40,000 depending on experience, location, and hours worked. They often need a valid driver's license and good driving record, and may work flexible or part-time schedules.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Shuttle Driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Shuttle Driver, you need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, vehicle inspection protocols, and scheduling software is typically required. Excellent customer service, punctuality, and effective communication help Shuttle Drivers stand out in their role. These skills are crucial for ensuring passenger safety, efficient transportation, and a positive travel experience.

What are the typical challenges a Shuttle Driver faces during busy travel periods?

During peak travel times, Shuttle Drivers often encounter increased passenger volumes, tight schedules, and heavy traffic, which can make maintaining punctuality and excellent customer service more demanding. Adapting to last-minute route changes or managing luggage efficiently are also common challenges. Successful Shuttle Drivers remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly with passengers, and work closely with dispatchers and fellow drivers to ensure smooth operations.

What are shuttle drivers?

Shuttle drivers are professional drivers responsible for transporting passengers, such as employees, hotel guests, or airport travelers, between designated locations using a shuttle vehicle. Their duties include following scheduled routes, assisting passengers with boarding and luggage, and ensuring a safe and timely ride. Shuttle drivers must also maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle, adhere to traffic laws, and provide excellent customer service throughout their shifts.
