Job description

MFM LP, a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position ofShutdown Scheduler Level 3 or 4to join our operation at Kearl Lake.This position is available as either Employee or Subcontractor status.


MFM LP provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection, light duty vehicle repair, overhead crane services, and professional services.

Location: This position will be based in Calgary, AB. Occasional travel to Imperial Oil, Kearl Lake Site (KOSP) may be required to support operational activities.

Shift: 40 hours per week


Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Shutdown Scheduler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and coordinating shutdown activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and integrate all work scopes into one overall logically linked shutdown plan.
  • The measurement of progress against the preparation plan.
  • Plan, organize and administer all the shutdown plans and maintain and coordinate the shutdown work scope.
  • Checking and identifying the critical path.
  • Carry out resource levelling.
  • Carry out schedule optimization.
  • Resolving any planning issues on behalf of the Shutdown Manager/Coordinator.
  • Prepare all planning inputs to Monthly Steering Committee and Quarterly Board Meetings Preparation of work forecasts and projections, including 'S' curves.
  • Preparation of reporting templates for progress tracking
  • Development of plans and schedules.
  • Coordination for the review of all shutdowns relevant backlogs.
  • Ensure work orders are coded correctly, and development of the draft plan with the involvement of the Shutdown Team, to include resource estimation.
  • Follow up on Purchase orders associated with Shutdown.
  • Ensure all relevant work packs are compiled and issued to the shutdown team, according to the shutdown plan prior to the commencement of the shutdown.

Qualifications:

Oracle Primavera P6 experience is considered an asset

CMMS-SAP experience is considered an asset

5 years as a scheduler in a Turnaround/ Shutdown/ complex Outage

Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Power Bi experience preferred

Smartsheet experience preferred
