Job description

#jobalert | CONTRACT | CRANE OPERATOR | MARIETTA, PA

An industrial construction contractor is adding two rough terrain crane operators to a plant shutdown at a grain and feed processing facility in Marietta, PA. The crane runs around the clock for the outage — one operator on days, one on nights. The machine is a 130-ton Link-Belt RT.

  • $44.00/hour
  • 08.28.2026 through 09.08.2026 | 12-hour shifts, crane runs around the clock
  • $125.00/day per diem
  • Travel pay
  • Must be open to day/night shift
  • Will be planning to work on Sept 7th (Labor Day)

Overview

  • Operate a 130-ton Link-Belt rough terrain crane inside the load chart on every pick
  • Set up for each pick — boom configuration, counterweight, outrigger position, radius — in confined plant setups
  • Make the picks the outage schedule calls for: pulling and setting equipment, structural steel, and process components inside a live shutdown window
  • Perform and document daily crane inspections, and pull the machine out of service when it needs to come out
  • Coordinate every lift with site supervision, riggers, and signalpersons
  • Hold your shift — 12 hours, days or nights — through 09.08.2026; the other operator relieves you and the crane does not sit
  • Work to grain and feed processing protocols: combustible dust control, hot work permits, overhead and confined lifts

Skills & Experience

  • NCCCO with TLL Endorsement
  • Recent seat time on rough terrain cranes in the 100-ton class or larger
  • Load chart discipline and documented daily inspections
  • Available the full run, 08.28.2026 through 09.08.2026, on 12-hour shifts
  • Own PPE and standard safety wear
  • Link-Belt RT time — RTC-80130, RTC-80100, or comparable
  • Shutdown, turnaround, or outage work — permit-driven, schedule-driven, no room to slide
