Customer Service & Scheduling Coordinator — Residential Glass

The Glass Guru of Durham  |  Durham, NC (in-office)  |  Full-time
$20 – $26/hour, based on experience

Be the voice of a growing local business.

The Glass Guru of Durham is a residential glass company serving Durham and Orange County — foggy windows, shower doors, mirrors, tabletops, and glass repair. We're a small, brand-new team, and we're hiring the person who will own the customer experience from the very first phone call.
This is not a back-office job. You are the first impression. When someone calls us with a foggy window or a broken shower door, you're the one who makes them feel like they called the right company.

What you'll actually do:

•    Answer the phone and connect with people. Not just take a message — listen, understand what they need, and make them glad they called.
•    Ask smart questions. You'll learn our glass products and services well enough to figure out what a customer actually has and what they actually need.
•    Schedule our estimator and glass technician. You'll build the daily schedule — grouping jobs by area, prioritizing by size and urgency, and keeping the team moving efficiently across our territory.
•    Own the job from booking to install. Make sure glass gets ordered on time, track lead times, and get ahead of delays — so the customer hears from us before they have to call you.
•    Give ballpark pricing on simple jobs. For straightforward items (like a glass tabletop where the customer has their own measurements), you'll be able to quote a range right on the phone.

Who we're looking for:

•    You genuinely like talking to people on the phone, and it shows in your voice.
•    You've worked in home services before — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control, remodeling, or similar — where technicians go to customers' homes. (Strongly preferred, not required.)

•    You've used a scheduling or dispatch system (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, FieldPulse, Yardi, or similar). We use FieldPulse and will train you.
•    You're organized enough that things don't fall through the cracks — because in this job, a missed glass order means an angry customer.
•    High school diploma or GED.

What we offer:

•    $20 – $26/hour, based on experience
•    Paid time off
•    Monday–Friday schedule, no nights, no weekends
•    A real seat at the table. You're one of the first employees of this business. What you build here, you'll own.
