As a shower door installer, you install framed and frameless shower doors in customers’ houses. This may involve setting up a sliding system, using tools to measure the space, and using hand or power tools as appropriate to install the shower door. You typically work for bathroom hardware companies, and you may be asked to provide other installation services as well. Many shower door installers also drive small trucks to deliver shower doors and remove older doors as needed. This job occasionally involves working in cramped conditions, especially when showers are poorly located within a home.
