Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a ShortForm Creative to join the engine behind MrBeast's social presence across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This is not a social media management role - it's a creative production role.

You will be the connective tissue between ideation and execution. You'll write video concepts, develop them alongside producers in pre-production, and step on set as an assistant director working directly with the Head of ShortForm Creative. The three platform leads - Head of TikTok, Head of Instagram, and Head of Shorts - will lean on you daily to ideate, develop, and deliver content that performs.

The best person for this role is obsessive about shortform content, thinks in formats and stories, has spent real time on set, and can move from a creative brief to a shoot call sheet without missing a beat.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Ideation & Writing

  • Generate a constant stream of video concepts across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts - each native to its platform
  • Write clear, punchy creative briefs that give producers and editors exactly what they need to execute
  • Collaborate daily with the Head of TikTok, Instagram, and Shorts to align on creative direction, formats, and priorities
  • Develop concepts from rough idea to fully fleshed brief - structure, hook, arc, and ending

Pre-Production

  • Work hand-in-hand with producers to build out videos from brief to shoot-ready
  • Contribute to shot lists, run-of-show documents, and logistics planning for shortform shoots
  • Flag creative risks early and propose solutions before they become production problems

On-Set Creative

  • Serve as assistant director on shortform shoots alongside the Head of Creative
  • Be the creative conscience on set - ensuring the content matches the brief and the platform
  • Adapt in real time when shoots don't go to plan, keeping the creative outcome intact
  • Scout and evaluate shoot locations alongside production, identifying the best sets and environments to elevate the content.

Performance & Iteration

  • Study performance data across all three platforms and translate it into sharper creative decisions
  • Identify what's working, why it's working, and how to do more of it - fast
  • Bring a data-informed point of view to every ideation session, not just gut instinct
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Real on-set experience - you understand production rhythm, know your role in a shoot, and operate well under pressure
  • Experience working with creators or inside a creator-led production environment
  • Fluency across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts - you know what makes each platform different and you use that to write better concepts
  • The ability to write a great brief - tight hook, clear structure, platform-specific thinking, no fluff
  • A track record of shortform content that actually performed, and the analytical instinct to know why
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with producers, platform leads, and creative directors simultaneously
  • Data-driven but creatively instinctive - you can feel what's going to hit before the analytics confirm it
  • A communicator who can align a room, distill a note, and move things forward without friction
  • Someone who takes content personally - you want to make things people can't stop watching
  • Wired for compressed timelines where fast is the baseline and great is still the expectation
BONUS POINTS
  • You have experience assistant directing on shortform or branded content shoots
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, or CapCut for concept mockups or quick edits
