Job description

McPherson Concrete Storage Systemsis expanding and actively hiring an
entry Level/non-management position traveling to remote jobsites to perform and document construction materials testing and inspections. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality control standards.

Job Duties:

  • Perform field and lab testing of concrete (slump, air content, temp, compressive strength, etc.)
  • Conduct materials testing (e.g., aggregate gradations, cylinder breaks)
  • Inspect reinforcing steel, structural openings, and critical construction phases
  • Enforce site-specific safety plans with the Safety Manager
  • Record and communicate field data and daily QC reports
  • Coordinate with QC Manager/Engineering on any spec deviations
  • Maintain equipment and update project documents
  • Foster positive team relationships onsite
  • Uphold all relevant codes, standards, and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Ability to read construction drawings, reports, and specifications
  • Construction inspection experience preferred
  • Familiarity with concrete / concrete formwork
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willing to travel frequently and work at heights
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I / ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician I – preferred but not necessary for employment
  • CDL Class A eligibility
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to complete
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Be able to climb and lift up to 50-100lbs daily
