Job Title: Planner - Short Term
Division: L'Oréal Operations

A Day in the Life As a Short-Term Planner at our North Little Rock Manufacturing facility, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence through efficient production planning and scheduling. You will align various planning horizons and optimize site resources to ensure the availability of materials and equipment capacity. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Accountabilities:
1. Production Scheduling & Execution
  • Develop and maintain a rolling short termdetailed production schedule for assigned production lines
  • Align the longer-term horizon from master schedulers to the short-term horizon
  • Develop and maintain a processing schedule to produce bulk to support the short-term packaging needs
  • Sequence orders to minimize changeover times and maximize machine efficiency(OEE)
  • Conduct ongoing reviews with the production teams to address variances and adjust schedules in real-time

2. Materials & Capacity Management
  • Optimize production schedule by ensuring the availability of materials, bulk, semi-finished goods, and equipment capacity through standardized processes.
  • Analyze labor and machine capacity constraints, identify bottlenecks, and propose overtime or shift adjustments when necessary.
  • Manage bulk inventory to balance production needs while minimizing excess and obsolete stock

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the production teams through ongoing discussions and daily meetings to support the plan
  • Liaison between production, quality, procurement, MPS, and launch to bring the various requirements and constraints, and align a short-term plan

4. Performance
  • Drive execution in achieving reliable weekly net rate results and monthly achievement of the plan
  • MaintainaccurateMaster Data (recipes, manning, cadences, etc)

  • Technical Requirements & Personal Competencies:
  • SAP experience required.
  • Advanced Excel strongly recommended (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Possess strong written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent business and personal ethics.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Communicate effectively with plant and corporate personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage change, provide program management, and achieve results.
  • Support and embrace the Safety, Quality, and Environmental missions of the Plant.
  • Act as a responsible citizen in our company and community.

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business or Supply Chain discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-performance manufacturing facility - cosmetics industry preferred.
