The Bayh College of Education is seeking a creative, organized, and media-savvy student to serve as a Social Media Content Assistant. This role supports the college's digital presence by creating engaging, authentic, and informative content that highlights the experiences of education, speech and lan majors, student teachers, faculty, and campus life.
This is an ideal position for a student interested in education, marketing, communications, or content creation-especially someone who enjoys storytelling through social media.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend a weekly strategy/planning meeting
  • Bring ideas and current events for content and branding strategy meetings
  • Coordinate directly with the dean's office and other Bayh College of Education departments to become informed on current events within the college
  • Create and publish 3-5 social media posts/reels per week (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Capture photo and video content from classes, events, and campus experiences
  • Assist in developing creative content ideas that reflect teacher life, student experiences, and college initiatives
  • Edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) using mobile apps
  • Write captions that are engaging, professional, and aligned with the college's brand voice
  • Collaborate with faculty/staff to highlight programs, events, and student success stories
  • Monitor engagement and suggest content improvements
