The Trench Safety Branch Manager is accountable for the safe, cost effective, and efficient management of all branch operations related to trench shoring and trench safety systems. This position ensures exceptional customer service, a strong safety culture, and consistent operational excellence. Responsibilities include full P&L ownership, driving profitable growth, developing and retaining talent, maintaining high equipment standards, and executing a branch level business plan focused on safety, customer satisfaction, operational reliability, and financial performance. This role requires trench safety expertise and the ability to lead in a fast paced, equipment intensive environment.
The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Builds and grows Badger's trench shoring business through strong market presence, brand positioning, and superior service delivery.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with contractors, utilities, municipalities, and infrastructure partners to ensure strong customer loyalty.
  • Oversees equipment scheduling and dispatch to ensure timely delivery, safe setup, and smooth project execution.
  • Oversees daily operations involving trench shoring systems including hydraulic shoring, slide rail, shielding, and related trench safety systems.
  • Manages equipment availability, utilization, repair cycles, and readiness for deployment

What You'll Need for Success
  • Holds full branch P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, margin optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (business, engineering, construction management, or related field).
  • 5+ years of successful business management experience with direct P&L accountability at a branch or similar profit center.
  • 3+ years of trench safety/trench shoring experience required.
  • Strong sales and customer service background required; outside sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in trench safety, trench shoring operations, or shoring contractor work strongly preferred.
