SCOUT DESIGN STUDIO is hiring a Furniture Sales Associate.


The Sales Associate is a vital position and the first face of Scout Design Studio. The most important attribute we are looking for is a candidate who is positive, has a passion for interior design and willing to learn and grow with the company. The Sales Associate will assist customers with purchasing furniture and accessories. To be successful, it requires a high level of follow through, attention to detail, customer service, professionalism, positivity, and can-do attitude.

We SCOUT the world to carefully find and create our collections. We offer limited-run Scout Label furniture, exclusive artwork, customizable designs and vintage finds. Located in the Dallas Design District, our 15,000 square foot showroom houses a well-edited collection of new and vintage furniture, artwork, lighting and home accessories from around the globe. We offer in-house refinishing services for vintage furniture and ship across the United States. Love kicking butt, working hard, and having fun all at the same time? Come on over!


Mandatory weekends, flexible weekdays. This is a full-time position.

Requirements:

Essential Functions:

  • Processing sales for clients in person, phone and email
  • Creating and closing sales quotes
  • Developing business relationships with retail, trade and commercial/hospitality clients
  • Managing key designer accounts
  • Approving trade applications
  • Work with operations team
  • Field customer service issues
  • Assist with sending samples to clients including taking packages to warehouse or UPS store
  • Work with digital sales and purchasing team regarding product feedback
  • Assist with showroom upkeep
  • Answer phones, voicemails, and emails daily
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Mandatory weekends, flexible weekdays.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of retail sales experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook and Mac operating system
  • Netsuite and Shopify experience preferred
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
