Working alongside senior developers and architects,you'llhelpmonitorproduction systems, troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and contribute to backend enhancements that improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of our digital ecosystem.

  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to long-term improvements that enhance system reliability.

  • Support the reprocessing and recovery of failed transactions across digital platforms.

  • Develop, test, and deploy backend enhancements, bug fixes, and integration improvements.

  • Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and product teams to design and implement new features.

  • Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities for production systems.

  • Support end-to-end validation of digital workflows and customer communication pipelines.

  • Participate in QA, User Acceptance Testing, release activities, and production deployments.

  • Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing across the team.

What you bring:

  • Diploma,Bachelor'sdegree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, ora relatedfield.

  • 1-3 years of software development experience with exposure to production support or cloud operations.

  • Experience developing and supporting cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS,EventBridge, CloudWatch, and RDS (PostgreSQL).

  • Proficiencyin Node.js or Python for backend development, with Python considered an asset.

  • Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations.

  • Understanding ofevent-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, distributed systems, and DLQ monitoring.

  • Experience troubleshooting production issues across cloud services, applications, and integrations.

  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational databases.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working within Agile development environments.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

  • A passion for learning cloud technologies and building reliable, scalable backend systems.

  • Bonus Skills:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher.

The salary range for this position is $75,363.00 ($41.41/hr)to$94,203.84($51.76/hr) and isdeterminedviajob-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, marketdemandand internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.

Please note that this is a12-month contractwith the possibility for extension and/or permanent conversion,butsubject to performance and operational needs.Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days).
