Job description

Position Overview
Anatta is seeking a skilled Shopify Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will develop, customize, and optimize Shopify and Shopify Plus ecommerce experiences for ambitious brands.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Shopify theme development, custom app development, Liquid, modern JavaScript, React, Node.js, Shopify APIs, and third-party integrations. You should be comfortable working across both front-end and back-end development, collaborating closely with design, project management, QA, and client teams to deliver scalable, high-performing commerce solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain custom Shopify and Shopify Plus themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Build and support Shopify apps, custom functionality, and back-end services using Node.js, Remix, Shopify APIs, and Webhooks.
  • Collaborate with designers to convert mockups into responsive, high-quality Shopify experiences.
  • Customize Shopify storefronts, product pages, collection pages, carts, customer accounts, and checkout-adjacent experiences.
  • Integrate Shopify with third-party platforms such as ERP, OMS, inventory, loyalty, tax, payments, subscriptions, fraud, and fulfillment systems.
  • Work with Shopify Admin GraphQL API, Storefront API, REST APIs, App Bridge, and Polaris.
  • Optimize Shopify stores for performance, SEO, accessibility, user experience, and conversion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end, back-end, API, integration, and production issues.
  • Test and deploy features while ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, QA, architects, and client teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Stay current with Shopify ecosystem updates, including Shopify Plus, Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Hydrogen, and POS capabilities.
  • Support Shopify POS-related work when needed, including POS UI Extensions, retail workflows, and in-store integrations.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Shopify or Shopify Plus development experience.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on Shopify theme and app development.
  • Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, theme architecture, sections, blocks, templates, metafields, and metaobjects.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end development.
  • Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Node.js, Remix, or similar back-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Shopify Admin GraphQL API, Storefront API, REST APIs, Webhooks, App Bridge, and Polaris.
  • Experience integrating Shopify with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
  • Solid understanding of ecommerce best practices, including SEO, performance optimization, accessibility, UX, and CRO.
  • Experience with Git, version control, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Good documentation and collaboration skills.
