Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting a global retail and eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building cloud-native, event-driven applications and distributed systems capable of handling high-volume online transactions and retail operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-performance microservices, designing resilient RESTful APIs, integrating with enterprise systems, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of mission-critical backend applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
  • Experience with Python or Node.js/TypeScript is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing Microservices Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience building scalable, secure RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native application architecture.
  • Experience implementing resiliency patterns such as retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, and eventual consistency.
  • Strong experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.
  • Experience working with relational databases including MySQL and Oracle, as well as NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
