Job description

Nfinity Athletic is hiring a Head of Operations for our Atlanta office.

This is a hands-on operating role inside a founder-led, multimillion-dollar sports, footwear, apparel, ecommerce, events, and consumer products company.

We are looking for someone who has already run real operations and wants a bigger, more interesting challenge.

This is the person we want to grow into our General Manager if they prove they can run the operating side of the business.

The Role

The Head of Operations will own the daily operating system of the company across supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, ecommerce operations, vendors, systems, warehouse/3PL, customer issues, logistics, and finance close support.

This person must be able to understand the whole machine, step into the details when needed, and make the existing team execute.

For the first 18 to 24 months, this is a working role. There is no dedicated assistant, analyst, coordinator, or support staff underneath it.

The right person is not afraid of the work. They have personally done it before.

What You Will Own

  • Supply chain planning, PO timing, replenishment, and inventory health
  • Warehouse, 3PL, fulfillment, shipping exceptions, and receiving
  • Amazon, Shopify, ecommerce operations, marketplace fulfillment, and inventory sync
  • Vendor management, scope control, spend discipline, contracts, and deliverables
  • Salesforce, ERP, Accounting Seed, Workato, ShipStation, Zendesk, AfterShip, or similar operating systems
  • Customer service escalations tied to orders, shipping, refunds, replacements, and inventory
  • Finance close support, shipment proof, invoicing support, margin protection, and revenue risk
  • Daily operating issues across sales, finance, product, ecommerce, warehouse, vendors, and leadership
  • Clear ownership: owner, deadline, blocker, decision, risk, and proof

What Success Looks Like

The business becomes clearer, faster, and more controlled.

Problems surface earlier.

Vendors are tighter.

Inventory is cleaner.

Fulfillment is more reliable.

Finance has better proof.

Sales promises match operational reality.

The office keeps moving when leadership is traveling.

This role exists to reduce founder rescue moments and make the company stronger.

The Right Candidate

You may be a strong fit if you have operated inside a founder-led or fast-moving company and personally owned physical product operations.

Strong backgrounds include:

  • apparel
  • footwear
  • sporting goods
  • ecommerce
  • retail
  • distribution
  • consumer products
  • team sports
  • event-driven businesses
  • military logistics or operations with private-sector business experience

Sports background is a plus. Military background is a plus. Founder-led company experience is a major plus.

We are not looking for a corporate operator who only manages meetings. We are looking for someone who can run the work, fix the mess, control risk, and make people sharper.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years in operations, business operations, supply chain, ecommerce operations, fulfillment, logistics, or related work
  • Experience in a physical product business
  • Inventory, fulfillment, warehouse, 3PL, vendor, ecommerce, or supply chain experience
  • Experience connecting operations to revenue, cash, margin, customer commitments, and inventory value
  • Strong written communication
  • Ability to work directly with founders
  • Ability to work full-time in person in Atlanta

This Is Not For Someone Looking For

  • a remote role
  • a strategy-only role
  • a clean corporate structure
  • a large team underneath them
  • a pure project management role
  • a pure ecommerce marketing role
  • a pure warehouse-only role
  • a role where the main output is meetings, decks, and status updates

Why This Role Matters

Nfinity needs a real operating leader in the building.

Someone who knows what is stuck, who owns it, what decision is needed, what risk exists, and what proof shows the work is done.

If you have run operations in a multimillion-dollar business and want the chance to build toward a true GM role in a more exciting industry, this may be the right fit.
