Job Summary
The Shop Supervisor within Defense will manage the day-to-day activities of shop team members to ensure Roush quality standards, project budgets for hours, materials, and timing, and policies and procedures are met. The Shop Supervisor will interact and communicate with leaders, shop team members, customers, and management. This position is in Warren, MI.
As a Shop Supervisor within Defense, you will:
  • Interact with and communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure program timing, budget, and quality standards are met.
  • Supervise team members including setting goals, providing guidance, and training.
  • Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations.
  • Work with internal departments to utilize available resources.
  • Ensure shop equipment is maintained properly.
  • Manage shop organization and clean-up ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.
As a Shop Supervisor, you must have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shop environment to include 2 years of experience leading others formally or informally.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and train team members.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
A successful candidate may also have:
  • Certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, Welding Technology or related.
  • Valid driver's license.
