Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and provide technical, quality, and service leadership to the shop team
  • Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality, and productivity improvements
  • Coach and counsel employees regarding individual performance and development needs
  • Manage organization, safety, and maintenance of the shop facility
  • Guide service and repair processes including personnel requirements, material needs, facility needs, and tools and equipment
  • Ensure all established cost, quality, and delivery objectives and commitments are met
  • Establish quality control standards and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products to be repaired
  • Take corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules
  • Review repair and operating reports and direct resolution of operational, repair, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Proven ability to lead a team of mechanics and willingness to work overtime on short notice
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adapting quickly to changing priorities
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications including Gmail, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment, and materials
