  • Review fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot welding, fabrication, and production challenges to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet manufacturing goals.
  • Monitor productivity, scrap, rework, equipment performance, and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain inspection documentation and quality records.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the weld shop.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on welding and metal fabrication experience.
  • 1+ year supervising a weld shop or welding team.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes, inspection standards, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
