Fabrication Shop Manager - Corrugated Hose & Assemblies

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Shop Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing stainless steel corrugated hose assemblies. This is a production-focused role responsible for driving output, reducing scrap, building a reliable team, and keeping the facility supplied. This is not a desk job-you will be on the floor solving problems, supporting production, and making sure work gets done right.

Responsibilities

  • Own a safe work environment and maintain a strong safety culture.

  • Oversee daily production and drive throughput to meet demand.

  • Track and improve key metrics including safety, output, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to equipment, staffing, and process issues.

  • Work directly with operators to keep production lines running.

  • Coordinate workflow across preparation, welding, testing, and shipping.

  • Ensure jobs are prioritized correctly to meet delivery commitments.

  • Troubleshoot quality and production issues in real time.

  • Supervise staff and build a high-performing team.

  • Train, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, and quality.

  • Improve production flow, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency.

  • Support equipment uptime, tooling, setups, and shop practices.

  • Support ISO and quality requirements without slowing production.

Qualifications
