Job description:

Delivery Driver / Upholstery Shop Helper
We are seeking a dependable, motivated Delivery Driver / Upholstery Shop Helper to join our upholstery and drapery business in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
This position involves delivering and moving furniture, assisting with installations, and supporting daily work in the upholstery shop. The ideal candidate is punctual, careful with customers’ property, able to follow instructions, and comfortable performing physical work.
Responsibilities
  • Load, transport, and deliver furniture safely
  • Protect furniture, walls, floors, and customers’ property during deliveries
  • Assist with furniture pickup, delivery, and placement
  • Help install upholstered items, cushions, window treatments, and related products
  • Move and organize furniture and supplies throughout the shop
  • Assist upholsterers and other workroom employees
  • Remove staples, fabric, padding, and other materials from furniture
  • Keep delivery vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organized
  • Perform other shop duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely lift and carry furniture with another employee
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Professional and courteous when working in customers’ homes and businesses
  • Furniture delivery, moving, installation, handyman service or upholstery experience is preferred but not required
Schedule
Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Compensation
Hourly pay is based on experience and demonstrated skill level. Performance-based bonus opportunities may be available.
