Job description

Shop Helper / Installation Assistant

Pay: $16.00 / hour

Schedule: Full-Time / Part-Time (Start times between 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM)

Location: Shop-based with local travel for installations

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Shop Helper / Installation Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll split your time between working directly in the shop and riding along to help complete custom product installations on-site.

This is a great hands-on position for someone who enjoys varied daily work, taking pride in clean craftsmanship, and learning trade skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities

Installation Support: Ride along in company vehicles to installation sites, assist with loading/unloading heavy materials, holding pieces in place, and running tools during installs.

Shop Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep the work floor, tool stations, and shop floor clean, organized, and clear of debris daily.

Painting & Prep Duties: Assist with basic prep work (sanding, taping, priming) and straightforward painting or touch-up duties as instructed.

Material Handling: Safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials, assemblies, and equipment throughout the shop and at job sites.

Tool Care: Help clean, organize, and reload tools and equipment into trucks at the end of each shift.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must be punctual and ready to work between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM daily.

Must have reliable personal transportation to get to the shop every morning.

Ability to regularly lift 50–75+ lbs and stand, bend, or work on your feet throughout the day.

A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to follow instructions carefully.

Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
