The EDI and Solutions Design Manager is a cross-functional leader, bridging the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external trading partners in overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of EDI systems and processes across the value chain while meeting quality, compliance, performance, security, and business requirements. Supporting or leading strategic and business integration IT projects within the value chain to provide improvements in service, customer programs, efficiency, controls and compliance. Supports of leads data mining and digitization efforts to improve business performance by driving change through innovating, advocating and implementing digital and technology solutions while maintain and completing compliance related activities such as SOX, SOPs, and design mitigating controls in the value chain. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is at the heart of this digital revolution, enabling organizations to exchange documents and information in a standardized, electronic format while solutions design serves as an essential bridge between business needs and technical execution, crafting the strategies and frameworks that enable companies to deliver effective, scalable, and innovative solutions to complex problems.

Position Location:
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site.
Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preferencewill be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Major Accountabilities / Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement future roadmap for systems, tools, and processes across Customer Operations that supports key business strategies and tactics
  • Facilitate continuous improvement leveraging systems and processes to enhance business results or mitigate risk
  • Align with IT to escalate business critical system issues and ensure that IT assigns appropriate priority for our systems to resume normal operating as soon as possible to minimize business disruption.
  • Act as SuperUser for both SAP and EDI, ensuring the department is leveraging all available tools/systems. Assist other departments with SuperUser related requests and help to grow SuperUser proficiency within the Customer operations user community.
  • Represent business teams in scoping, fit and gap workshops for projects and enhancements; propose solutions leveraging experience and expertise
  • Own and execute all invoice month end activities and processes (Runbook) within Supply Chain; trouble shoot/assist all functional areas on month end close related to order to invoice expertise
  • Support business continuity planning; lead business interruption plan and resolution with IT team
  • Lead solution management and testing; work with peers on testing and review

What you'll bring to the role:
Required Qualifications:
Education: College degree required.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience across multiple process areas, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, IT, Commercial Operations or Finance roles
  • 10+ years of experience working in SAP (Sales and Distribution module and/or Logistics modules) with ABAP/4 or configuration expertise
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of EDI protocols, standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT), and communication methods (e.g., AS2, FTP, VANs)
  • Knowledge of Order to Cash processes - SAP transactions and order types, billing output setups, EDI set up, etc.
  • Strong financial knowledge of invoicing and order to cash processes
  • Experience managing multi-phase technology projects, balancing scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Systems Architecture: Deep understanding of systems integration, software development methodologies, and IT infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices to ensure seamless execution, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery.

You'll Receive:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $103,600 - $ 192,400; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
