Job description

Position: Production Operator (Folder/Ripper)
Work Location: Fontana, CA 92337
Pay Rate: $18.90/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
1st Shift: (Mon - Fri) 6am - 2pm with Mandatory Overtime
2nd Shift: (Mon - Fri) 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm & 3rd Shift
Dress Code: Pants, safety shoes, 35% Cotton Blend Long sleeve shirt
 
Job Description:
Support the manufacturing of shingle products. Involves manually folding roof ridges using gloved hands and performing production, safety, housekeeping, cleanup, startup, shutdown, and basic maintenance-related tasks.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manually fold roof ridges using gloved hands (no tools or machinery required for this task)
  • Meet production expectations, including a target of 12 boxes per hour
  • Follow established safety procedures, work instructions, and training guidelines
  • Support manufacturing operations and product quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with startup, shutdown, cleanup, and other production-related activities as assigned
  • Follow all company safety policies and avoid unsafe work practices
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks in a production environment
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions
  • Must provide and wear personal safety shoes that meet workplace requirements
  • Must wear a long-sleeve shirt containing at least a 35% cotton blend
  • Ability to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for repetitive folding tasks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
