Job description

Foot & Ankle Associates is seeking a Certified Pedorthist (C.Ped.) to help lead and grow our diabetic shoe program.

This position will work closely with our podiatrists and clinical team to evaluate patients, fit and dispense diabetic footwear and inserts, and help manage the diabetic shoe process from referral through delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and measure patients for diabetic and therapeutic footwear
  • Fit and dispense diabetic shoes and inserts
  • Educate patients on proper fit, use, and care of footwear
  • Coordinate shoe and insert orders with vendors
  • Track patients through the ordering and dispensing process
  • Help obtain and review required documentation for diabetic shoe patients
  • Work with physicians, clinical staff, and billing staff to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Assist with inventory, returns, exchanges, and product issues
  • Help develop and grow the practice's diabetic shoe program
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Pedorthist (C.Ped.) credential
  • Experience fitting diabetic or therapeutic footwear preferred
  • Strong patient communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple patients and orders simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
  • Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, DME, or a medical practice is preferred
