Job description

At FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, we are passionate about utilizing cutting-edge technologies to help athletes and active individuals recover quickly and safely. Our Mobile Center specializes in advanced physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and innovative treatment options, including Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT). Our goal is to reduce recovery times, so our patients can get back to doing what they enjoy most—being active.ResponsibilitiesJoin FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers as a Part-Time Athletic Trainer and be part of a team that’s at the forefront of sports medicine innovation. You will use your skills and passion for modern technology to deliver Radial Shockwave Therapy and other advanced treatments aimed at enhancing recovery and promoting long-term health. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of athletes and active individuals while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.

  • Starting Salary: $30 per hour, paid biweekly on Fridays.
  • Expected Hours: 6–30 hours per week based on need and availability.

Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Administer Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT), utilizing cutting-edge technology to reduce recovery times for athletes and active individuals.
  • Deliver injury prevention education to help patients maintain their health and reduce future risks.
  • Work closely with physical therapists and healthcare providers to optimize patient care and help athletes and active individuals get back to what they enjoy most.

Required SkillsQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training - Required (additional Masters in Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or a related field a plus)
  • BOC Certification (Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer) – Required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification – Preferred (Must complete prior to start date if not current)
  • Minimum 3 years of athletic training experience – Preferred.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Maryland.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT) or other advanced rehabilitation technologies (training provided if needed).
  • Experience in occupational medicine, orthopedics, or sports medicine settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Dry Needling a plus
