Job description

Overview
This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii
Offsite Maintenance and Modernization Hawaii is seeking a qualified individual to join the logistics team in Dept. 776. The candidate selected must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be task oriented, able to prioritize workload and be responsible for knowledge transfer. In addition, the candidate must be able to cultivate and promote a positive TEAM environment. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining procedural compliance in all D776 tool crib/wire rooms, including weld wire issue and control, calibration, Inventory procurement and control processes, tracking of inspections and preventative maintenance, and other areas as needed.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as the requirements of assigned tasks dictate
  • Able to receive a variety of product types, utilizing receiving reports, material move tags, packing slips, packing lists and shipping documents
  • Ensure product is properly labeled, segregated and stored in accordance with EB processes. Ensure all inventory is accurately maintained
  • Level 1 weld wire management, issue/return and scrap process. Utilize ATICTS for proper weld wire issue and return
  • Employee will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels in all D776 cribs, to include ordering tooling and consumables
  • Employee will be responsible for establishing an ECC in D776, to include training and qualifying personnel
  • Computer skills required
  • Must comply with all EB company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with management and other logistics analysts to ensure strong support for manufacturing
  • Must have strong commitment toward safety and must be able to handle/lift heavy items within safety guidelines
  • Employee will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goals
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergent overtime may be required

Qualifications
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in warehousing/inventory/tool crib management
  • 1+ years of experience working with EB and within Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard
  • Must be available to work all shifts and extended hours as business needs dictate
  • Must possess the ability to work in the Honolulu, HI location. This position may require business and long-term travel as necessary to support efforts at other Electric Boat locations
  • Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one

Preferred:
  • Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice Programs
  • ECC experience, including tool inspection, preventative maintenance, and tool repair
  • Military/Navy logistical experience

Skills
  • Must be proficient with computer usage and use of various programs (ex. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, ATICTS, etc.)
