Job description

What is this role? 

As a Shipping Associate at Cirkul, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day execution of our shipping and fulfillment operations, with a strong focus on getting retail customer orders out accurately and on time. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Production, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize orders, manage inventory movement, resolve shipping issues, and keep operations moving in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a warehouse environment, and willing to jump in wherever needed including operating a forklift, supporting shipping activities, and using Excel or Google Sheets to track orders, inventory, and operational performance.

What does an average day look like? 
  • Driving Results:

    • Monitor order priorities, shipment deadlines, and operational needs to help the team meet customer expectations and service-level requirements.
    • Support daily shipping and fulfillment activities to ensure retail customer orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on time.
    • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stage, load, and organize products and materials as needed.
  • Taking Ownership:

    • Proactively identify and help resolve issues that could delay shipments, including inventory discrepancies, missing materials, shipping documentation, or operational bottlenecks.
    • Use Excel or Google Sheets to track orders, inventory, shipments, productivity, and other key operational metrics. Maintain accurate and organized reporting to support daily decision-making.
  • Making Decisions:

    • Prioritize tasks based on customer needs, shipping deadlines, and changing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Cultivating Relationships:

    • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and other teams to ensure orders are ready to ship and issues are resolved quickly.

  • Instilling Trust:

    • Support inventory accuracy, shipping documentation, order verification, and other operational processes to ensure customers receive the right product at the right time.

  • Customer Focus:

    • Be willing to work hands-on and stay until critical priorities are completed, especially when supporting high-volume retail shipments or time-sensitive customer orders.

What background should you have?
    • 1-3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment.
    • Experience supporting retail customer orders, distribution, or high-volume shipping operations preferred.
    • Forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
    • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills required, including the ability to organize data, track operational metrics, and maintain reports.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse or manufacturing environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
    • Willing to work hard, stay until critical work is complete, and demonstrate flexibility when business needs change.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and take action quickly.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • High degree of initiative, follow-through, accountability, and ownership.
    • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
    • Experience with inventory management, warehouse systems, ERP systems, or shipping systems is a plus.
